I have the same motor...it was a pain getting it to run right after I bought the boat but now it's been 2 years w/o a problem. When maintained, I don't think you can beat the motor, and the old gen 1...

I have the 165 in line 6 and keep it running in the big waters. If I'm trolling with the kicker I'll shut the big one off. I don't worry about abusing it, the motor is great and reliable, besides it...
