Default bracket gaps

i tried searching for the thread about someone here having the straight bracket with the curved v-20 transom. i was looking for ideas about how to close the gap.

That was me, all I did was take a PT 4X4 and cut wedges for the corners. Covered with 5200 and they are still on there today in great shape thats 6 years ago.
I wish I then what I know now and I would have taken more and better pic's.

thanks MJ, did you bolt through the wood after it was in. how many bolts you bolted?

Yes the bolts went thur the wood, and it was the last 2 holes on the bracket. With the 5200 it wasn't moving!

the wood will be easier to work with than making molds of glass or welding up aluminum.

i cant remember which of the big bracket companys it was but one of them made a bracket just for the V.

All of them will make for your boats shape, but I assume that this is a bracket he picked up some were like me and is going to make it fit.

New is $900 and up!
