Default I/Os VS OutBoards

lets start with the good things about i/os

i/os get good gas milage, their easier to repair, they can be made very large, you can have more power in a v-20 if you have an i/o, easier to repair because you can use auto parts, dont need to flush them when your don runnin them, they dont stress your transom to hang them you dont need an expensive braket to hang them, and they draw less water than the outboards. But take up deck space and if you have a fire theres a fire on the boat you have to check and change oil. they are much heavier than an outboard.

now outboards

they have better tork than an i/o, if you have a fire they are not toatily on the boat, can be toatily raised out of the water, dont take up space on the boat, are lighter than an i/o, and they are eaiser to replace than an i/o. But they are horrable gas hogs even for strokes they are louder they pollute the earth more thatn i/os and there exposed to everything you can bang them on docks and hurt them.
