Most manufacturers have put these stamps in the powerhead because of the likelyhood of removal of the stickon barcode labels. If you have them labels most likely there is one of these serial # stamps on the powerhead.

This is off a 75hp mariner.

The location on it is lower rear, starboard side of powerhead.

tsubaki thanks again for all of your help!

I fond the stamp, serial # is 0G351669

The bad part is I was on the phone with iboats for 15 min, then Westmarine the same and niether of them can help me :'( they both sent me to sierra something or other that only deals with inboard engines! They said I would b=probably need to go directly to a dealer!
THis is not looking good for this weekends fishing trip! :-/

Ya, you would think I could just type in my info, then Wala! Water Pump, but Noooo.
I am going to take of the lower Unit tomorrow, (was going to doit today but my buddy has all of my tools!!) and then see what the impellar looks like. maybe for know I will just change that out. If i had good preasure I wouldn't even be worried, but @ idle or under say 1500rpms I just have a inconsistent spitting stream ::)
