Guys...seas&77 says thru fiberglass...doesn't say thru transom, so may not need to be sealed, but if thru glass & wood, MJ has a good point...HomeLowesDepot or a good electrical/electronics supply has good selection of grommets to prevent the chaffing yer talkin' about if thru glass only...and follow Skools tip on counter-sinkin' the holes ;) ...can ya post some pix of where yer drillin' so we can be of more help? :D ...

You're right. I'm not drilling the transom. It's the top of the dash to mount accessories. I ended up using stainless coax cable "clams". they have a rubber gland that tightens around the wire. It works to use it for other wire also. Just put some silicone if it's not a real tight seal. Looks good too.

Well, sometimes they are "nappy headed holes" and all you can do is slob a whole bunch of 5200 on there and hope for the best :-/ ;D

Well, sometimes they are "nappy headed holes" and all you can do is slob a whole bunch of 5200 on there and hope for the best :-/ ;D
