Like any other boat, check transom, soft spots in the floor, stringers, the large panel over the gas tank may have a little bounce to it....that's considered "normal".....should only be a little deflection. A 200, IMO, IS the motor for that hull, you'll be in the upper 40's w/ a 200. Welcome and good luck. P.S. I've got a 150 and it's plenty.

Mine's carryin' a 150 and gets along pretty good...but 200 is what would REALLY be the ticket, so I'd say if you got some faith in that Suzy, go for it...

...I'd bet you'll need the extension mentioned above... ;) :D ...let's se some pix... 8) ...

I had an old Black Max 150 on my bottom painted 83 which was fine as I cant get up any speed in the ocean..about 33-34 that was plenty fast for me. If I lived on a big lake or protected river and wanted to pull kids on tubes or knee boards or fished with 3 guys then the 200 would be a big improvement if its a two stroke. Some of the big 4 strokes will be very heavy and can put your scuppers below the water line which I've never been comfortable with..but thats just me . Frank
