Well mine had a 25" leg. I never took anything in the cockpit while sitting, getting splashed or whatever. I did have a splash board that fit the motorwell when running the snot. I'm sure you could rig up something similar to keep the water where it belongs (outside the boat).
I really liked the layout on the V20 Center Console and miss it already. Wish I had kept it. :'(

Yes they did use different sizes. Generally the older hulls used a 20" shaft length. If the boat is as good as CapnBill says and everything checks out, I wouldn't let the fact that it's a 20" transom stop me from pulling the trigger. It's a good starting asking price and posiibly able to negotiate an even better deal. ??? I'd say, it's worth a look if it's not too far away. ;)

Willy

Irvin's V-20 CC is in pretty good shape, she is not beat up, and, as CB says, is a good overall boat.
I've known Irvin for many years, bought several boats from, and sold several boats through him. He is fair and honest. He will negotiate in good faith if you make him a reasonable offer - cash talks.
He is located in Skipton. MD about 5 milles north of Easton. MD. That is about 1 1/2 hour drive south from the Delaware Memorial Bridge, or about 1 hour drive west from Lewis. DE - assuming no weekend beach traffic! Call and talk to Irvin a day in advance to make sure he is going to be there - and not out on a boat call.

... and for ther rest of V-20 Irvin has a great stock used Mercruiser, and Mercury OB parts!
