Keep looking. I think you have made the right choice not to try and repair the hull. It would have been a tough job.

I just pulled up those pics and are you sure that its not an access hatch to storage. I have a storage compartment is in the same place. Maybe some kind of tank was installed there like a wash down and only the cover needs repair.

I looked at it some more and it to me it appears that the fiberglass wraps around the edge of the cut out which would support the idea that its a cover. Its a clean boat to have floor issues. Was that the only spot?

The cutout area was the only SOLID spot. EVERYWHERE else is soft. There was also water standing in the rear compartment where the oiltank is. I haven't heard from Miller today so I guess they are just looking for someone who thinks nothing of a soft deck.

BTW, I don't think there is any storage under the floor on these simply because of the 60 gallon fuel tank. The poor repair I saw might have been an attempt to fix the worse of the softness. Gaitor, was the cutout I mentioned earlier there when you looked at it? Also, how long ago did you see it? I'm just curious how long the boat has been sitting around.

I would think either that boat was a sinker or someone let it fill up with water for a couple of years on the trailer for the whole floor to be solf :-/

I've seen a few V21's here and there and never have I seen a rectangle or square hatch in the rear deck. A round inspection plate seems to be the default, yes. Now there is some wasted space in that area between the fuel tank and inspection plate. I would never do it, but a fellow could make the area accessible with a deck hatch. I don't want to introduce any more opportunities for water.

Jeff I looked at it in early March, and it had just gotten to Miller then I think.

And that hatch definitely is not supposed to be there! It was what you said, a poor attempt to repair the worst I think.
