Going out of town for 6 weeks. My spring project has become a summer one. Unless of course I hit the lottery then all bets are off. I'm thinking of leaving boat with fiberglass guy and making installments. He said he would do it if I was not in a hurry. Motor is going to shop next week.

Sean, I know what you're going through. *My boat's name is Snookhead; I bought it in FL. *Most people up around here (MD) have never even heard of Snook and I get all kinds of questions about the name. *
Anyway, being a man of the Christian faith, I'm not troubled by the idea of bad luck; I don't believe there is such a thing. *Indeed, there are difficult providences we go through in life, but superstition has nothing to do with it. *The only thing keeping me from renaming my boat is the fact that the name will probably still show through once the stickers are removed unless I repaint the hull. * So, in my opinion (for whatever it's worth) rename your boat if you want to rename her. *Do it and don't look back. *Whatever happens is going to happen regardless of what the name of your boat happens to be. * Whopper, I'm really sorry to hear about your boat and I don't mean to make light of your situation by what I've said above. * Sean, maybe you could call your boat "Rita Marga" or "Rita Marga Ville"*;D Just my two cents... *
