Fishing with wire

I have a couple of old penn 49 mariners that I have rigged with monel for deep wire fishing but I hate using it. You got to watch the kinks etc but it will go deep and at times you cant get hits on anything else ..Sometimes I use 24 oz sinkers to bounce bottom when I'm fishing 90 feet deep or so with double bucktail rigs or fake eels.
