I plan on pulling the boat tomorrow after work. *I'll get her home and take apart the T/T motor and see what it looks like and go from there. *My fish finder depth sounder was acting up as well as the brand new *digital fuel meter *>:(. *I'll take a look at them too and see what gives. *

Check out this link. I think I got the right motor for you. If so it looks kinda pricey.

Hope this helps.

You can get a few good deals on ebay but I like knowing I am dealing with a reputiable company when it comes to items like this. I would hate to go through all the trouble to remove and replaced one of these just to find out it don't work.

That's my $.02 worth on it.

Alright, I brought her home tonight and started to take apart the T/T motor. I got three long screws out of the top, but cannot even get a screwdriver on the last one. The one that is still in is the aft most starboard screw. You can see it in the 2nd pic. I'm sure there is a trick to this. So I attached some pics of my situation and maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

Thanks

Carl

you have to take that side of the transom bracket off, its a PITA, I've tried a long screw driver from every angle, ended up striping the screw head

Been there and done that. Take off the left side of the engine bracket and remove the whole T/T. If ya remove the right side, you might be forced to remove the steering cable and make more work for yourself.
Let us know how it works out for ya. *;)

Hey,

I'm still here and the boat hasn' fallen on me yet. I got the old motor off after removing the bracket. I took off the right one hopefully it won't be too bad to get back on. I found oil between the motor and pump and the motor had a nice burnt smell to it. Two of the four brushes in the motor were totally shot and the other two were not very good. There is a really good chance that the pump may have a bad seal also. I have been calling around because there are very few of this style motor. There was only one on ebay that fit my year. It was the pump and motor assy. I found a place that had one in stock. It was also the assy. He got good coin for it, but he was cheaper than ebay and fairly close by if anything doesn't work out. I will install it tomorrow. Last night was the local 4-H type agricultural fair and tonight was the big fireworks show, it is always a good time for the family. I will let you all know how it goes as soon as possible

Alright, Some news to report. I have replaced the pump and motor assembly. It wasn't too bad, with only a few glitches along the way. Mostly just moving up the learning curve for this being my first time for this job. I also found out that the down solenoid is acting up. So tomorrow, I will pick a new solenoid - maybe both since I figure the up solenoid is probably not too far behind.

Good news on the fuel transducer also. I called Northstar (previously Navman) and they are sending me a brand new transducer to connect to the digital meter and display. It should be in the mail tomorrow. This is part of the F210 Northstar fuel monitoring system.

The only other item I need now is a new fish finder / depth sounder. I had a cheapo Humminbird Piranha 1 - I paid about $60 a few years ago which has decided to run erratic and shut itself off more times than not.

Here are a few pics of the new motor.

Again - thanks for all the help and advice.

Carl
