Hammer, My thought is, if your repair is done right with gelcoat, you shouldn't need any paint/sealer on the bottom. There was a company out there online that's been mentioned on this site before that matches factory gelcoat colors...........Spectrum, Spectra.....something like that.

I think the company that matches gelcoat is minicraft if I'm not mistaken

Thanks for the Minicraft info. I just shot an email to the company with my hull number. Hopefully they have the correct color.

FYI, I rebuilt a 13 foot Boston Whaler about 11 years ago. The outside I sprayed with Awlgrip the inside with gelcoat, today the Awlgrip looks as good as the day it was painted the gelcoat not so good (hairline cracks, flaking etc..

I used Minicraft on my 92 whaler. Don't expect a perfect color match. Good product but I doubt your boat is the same color it was when new. Minicraft will probably even tell you that, they did with me. I bought some brown pigment to add to the Minicraft and got it closer.
