Oh, and 50 million barrels is only a 2 and a half day supply for the United States at our present level of consumption. So exactly HOW would it have helped anyone?

Yep, You keep quoting it like some it's kind of trophy for you. It's the one and only time that I made a mistake/typo/error, that I readily admitted to with a link as proof that what I said was true among independents.

This is a post about oil and using the STRATIGIC RESERVE to help pay for the Infrastructure bill nonsense. The 18 million barrels are right in the bill. Look it up. As to the other 32, like I said, I could not confirm that it was sold also, but it seems logical. And in all cases the entire 50 million barrels would only last 2 and a half days IF (and that's a big IF) it all went to the American public. To me, it looks like a raid by the Democrats to help pay for the Infrastructure bill). IMHO

We can afford to purge some of it - use some .

Heavy crude is what is used in industrial applications. #2 bunker oil is the thickest. (So thick it usually has to be warmed before it will flow) It's used in most ship's boilers and in industrial applications.

Brent crude is a much lighter oil and is usually used to make various fuels, etc. used in transportation applications.

ALL oil can be cracked/distilled to make fuels. But the grade of the oil determines the amount of fuel (Gas, Diesel, Kerosene, JP2, JP4, JP5, etc.)
that you can get out of each barrel.

Thank you for making the decision that we can afford to use some of it to pay for an Infrastructure bill. I'm sure our soldiers. sailors and airmen that might have to depend on that oil for fuel for their war machines are much relieved to know that it's ok with you to sell it off.
