make sure to go to a 24 or 36 volt so you have enough power in the wind and that you get a shaft that gets the motor down so it won't be coming out on waves as the bow rises and if you block any navigation lights you need to relocate them I would get the auto pilot model
as to wear to mount it can't help nice, looking boat but way the ladder
