Trolling motor
I am tempted to add a electric trolling motor to my V-20 CC for river, creek and sound *fishing. Probably want at least 100 lbs of thrust. Primary use for my boat is trolling for Kings, Spanish and Blues *out of Morehead City NC, but occasionally fish for Trout in the sounds. *Looking to be a little quieter on the water to improve success. Any suggestions or success stories will be appreciated, had one on my *McKee Craft 1800 and loved it.

Re: Trolling motor
Not necessarily these, but for the boat size you may consider them.

Re: Trolling motor
I think REEL runs one on his Cuddy, he should be able to steer you in the right direction.

Re: Trolling motor
You what it on the bow or stern

Re: Trolling motor
reel does have a very useable mount situation on his.
See if it is in his gallery. |

Nope, ain't in his gallery. Might have to pm him to get pictures and specs. Unless someone can find the old posts.

Re: Trolling motor
Think I want to stick to bow mounted if possible, have bad back and like to cast from pedestal. I have *a ladder on back of my T-top that interferes with casting.

Re: Trolling motor
make sure to go to a 24 or 36 volt so you have enough power in the wind and that you get a shaft that gets the motor down so it won't be coming out on waves as the bow rises and if you block any navigation lights you need to relocate them I would get the auto pilot model
as to wear to mount it can't help nice, looking boat but way the ladder |
Re: Trolling motor
This is the closest I can find right now.
