The fuel fill hose is pretty hard to work on and off. An old one very likely might have to be cut off. IF you were able to access it you wouldn't be able to apply enough muscle to it to work it with out being right on top of it in my opinion. Not to be a downer, but those hoses usually don't pull loose being double clamped. It would be a good idea to remove the hatch to find out whats really going on. Could be a hole worn through a hose due to vibration and rubbing up against a rough piece of fiberglass where it passes through the stringer, could be a leaky tank, possibly a gasket on the sender going bad too.
