The fastest V was the guy who posted video with the inboard - approx 70 mph top speed.

Would have liked to seen more of it, and use of tabs to eliminate the porposing so it runs flat.

Inboard power is really the best way to create the ultimate " sleeper V boat " .
Transom can only handle X size outboard, and inboard weight further forward balances better.
Yep, its a sleeper, I changed to a new style cowl and kept the 135 decals!!

drag thats what i like to see guys making more power out of small engines ---its much too boring putting a bigger engine on----thats the idea with my 3.7 want more power out of a small engine its more rewarding--im doings things to my engine that merc couldnt afford to do because the cost would make engine too much for people to buy

Look im with you all the way we can make engines better than what they did--- but alot of guys think that stock is the best way ---every car i ever owned has never been stock always had to do mods to improve power and fuel---im going solid on my camshaft in my 3.7---the reason is the edelbrock head needs rollers and harden pushrods--- so why not go for a solid --the cam grind merc used them is crazy to me ---cam profiles are completely different to what they were using 25 years ago--- i will end up with a engine that idles good and has good tork all the way to 6000 cant wait all my mates have outboard i just want to prove you can make good power from a 4cyl inboard im the black sheep of the group with a unkown of wellcraft and a unknow 4cyl inboard theywould call my boat a sleeper well i hope i wake her up for them lol

I like your posts AND your hotrod 3.7L Aussie. I agree that camshaft grinds have changed, especially with VVT and roller cams. The "hot cams" for the GM LS series small block seem radical in lift and duration, yet they maintain a good idle quality. What is the latest on your rebuild?
