good answer chum, however, i started new boat and ran w/ earmuffs, shortly after it idling a warning signal came on. I shut it down, looked around, checked, again, vro oil, 1/2 full, water pumping strong from pis port, engine warm. Start again, idling nicely approx. after20-25 seconds, the alarm.Turned it off, looked around again, started up,same thing...however....just before turning it off, I gave the primer ball a squeeze, alarm off.Let it idle, strong stream of water out the port,20-30 secs. alarm on again, squeeze the ball, alarm off. I am bringing it in to my mechcanic this week to give it a tune up and what ever else it may need, so that was the extent of me monkeying around w/ it.That's why I was going to fish in my little boat... that alarm has to be dealt w/ first... BTW... 1993 johnson 150 ocean runner... fuel pressure/fuel pump issues? Now that I'm done typing this[15 Mins.]...I should have maybe posted this in repairs?

Is it the fuel ball or the oil ball you are pumping??

Could be the oil is not pumping?? I don't think gas will set alarm off??

You can go to Iboats.com and ask all the questions you want!!! Some really smart guys on there!!

You might be able to fix your self real cheap!

Good luck

macojoe, thanks for the input, two things, there is a primer ball on the oil pump line and it is hard [like a primed fuel ball] nowhere does it say to prime the oil ball...i think that is used to purge air out of the line after you service the pump, change filter etc. #2...,the manual states if you have low fuel pressure an alarm will come on and stay on until the proper press. is achieved...still i've only owned this boat 6 days, my mechanic is getting it anyway on wed...., i'm not going to mess w/ it.
