My hatch was always leaking and I attributed it to the old 4200 sealant coming apart. I took the entire assembly apart, rails, track and all. I unscrewed everything and cut off/cleaned all the old sealant. I even took the hatch to my body guy and had all the nicks, cracks and dings removed. I then completely reassembled everything with longer pan heads and used 4200 fast cure on every open seam. It's especially important to get a solid bead between the guide track rail and the curved hatch glides (I don't know what they are actually called but they run along the top carpet next to the sliding tracks on down to the floor). I sealed everything up making sure the water alley remained unobstructed all the way down to the floor. It was a real pain to do, it took me a few days but it was worth it. Now it stays dry as a bone.
