Why didn't Wellcraft ever correct leaky cuddy !!

I'm starting to understand that the cuddy hatch always leaks ?

Can you V guys confirm ? All the way back from 70's to the 1996 model .

What the ......blank.....blank is that about ?

BG neither of mine leaked a drop! I never had to do anything with them.

It's a boat!
What, you expect to keep dry??
:you::you:

No, seriously, I expect the worst when you put boats toward water and plan for it.
Then again, I'm one of those people that think a 70 pound chair in the back of a pickup at 70 miles per hour can indeed levitate and needs to be tied down.

Somebody a while back....may have been Willy, cant remember, made the observation that when sitting level in the water they dont leak so bad if at all, while sitting bow up stored on the trailer they tend to leak. I know after a rain sitting on the trailer, I find water marks and/or water in the joint between the cuddy bench and bulkhead on the inside.

Hey I can prove a 94 quart cooler can become airborne out of a Hydra Sport on the highway.....:zip:

never had a problem with mine leaking, except during really heavy rainstorms and 8 kids in the cuddy and the boat sitting bow down. but as tsubaki said, i never expect anthing to stay too dry.

i think a cinder block can blow out of a boat while trailering.

Funny how a discussion about leaky cuddy turns into " what can blow out of a boat when trailered "

So, I'll jump into that - anything that can - will blow out of a boat when trailered !

You would get more of a on topic response I believe if it was a common problem.
Otherwise as Old timers are want to do, the mind wanders.

Mine leaks as well. Right around the windshield/hatch area. Not sure exactly why as I just live with it and haven't looked into fixing it.
