That is a good starting point.
You probably will do even better with a 19" pitch but I'd start fully loaded with the 17" and see if you are happy with it. I'm running a 19" stainless but usually run lightly loaded (only 40 gallons of fuel capability), 43mph is no problem with two people and the regular fishing stuff.
