randleman's numbers should be more realistic than mine.
I was basing my numbers on when my father had the V with a 140 crossflow. About 25-30mph, about 10-12 gallons per hour, 30 mile trip (2-3mpg). By comparison the 4 strokes do have considerable more hp and better fuel efficiency than the older 2 strokes. I would expect a 100 horse to be a constant strain and burn considerable more fuel than a 140 horse at the same speeds. randlemans' numbers should translate to 5-6 gallons per hour.
