I have three 2500 gph pumps in my V, one fwd, one primary, one back up, all three hooked to a manual switch and a dedicated line straight to the battery thru a fuse and float switch. If you are wondering just how much you need, next time your at the ramp, leave the plug out and back the boat in till right before it floats, see if you pump can keep up with the water coming in from that small hole
