I was going to ask the same thing....can you elaborate on the paint? I have been using two different paints for the hull and bracket.

I am using Ablative Antifouling Paint, it is made to come off the boat, you just need to apply every year to the areas that it comes off so it doesn't build up.
I used it on the V20 and now the OX and have never had any issues with it on either bracket.

I also use an ablative but I was under the impression that on the aluminum bracket you need to use something like Pettit Alumacoat or Alumaspray as the copper in the regular paint would react and corrode the aluminum......if you've had no problems I may reconsider. That can of alumaspray is not cheap.
