Mine was just laying up on top when I got it home the first time. I used 3/4x3/4" angle alum, about 1/8" thick on mine. I did'nt think of plastic or vinyl, dam. I ain't taking it off now! It works ok!

Hey Lesterus,
Where'd you get the Teflon strips? Are they self adhesive? I'm just doing my front hatches - glad you guys are giving me the tricks. Any ideas for sealing it up a little better (weatherstrip or something)? I took a wave over the bow and those babies leaked pretty bad.
