I stripe cars, boats, and anything else that needed striping. We used a heat gun heating a small area and pulling it off with one hand while keeping it heated with the other. The stripe is old so it maybe be brittle and one of the other methods may work better.

The razor blade helps get more of the sticky stuff faster. You can look a t my pics and see that it really didn't leave too bad-a-streaks on the boat from the old stickers.
Hey, didn't you use that poly something that you brush on to give you boat that great shine? If so, can you give me/us some feed back as to how it still looks and if it has held up after a year?

Yeah, it's held up great. I did the recomended five coats for the first time user, and I am going to do about 2 more in a couple of weeks when I start getting her ready for this season. I keep mine tied starboard side to the dock with two bumpers, and the only place it had any problem was where the bumpers touched the boat. And I don't think it would have been so bad, but we had a couple of blowing days last year that sent .5'-1' little chop waves right up against my boat rocking it all up and down the dock. To sum up, yes I have been thouroghly impressed with the product. I even used it inside the boat on the floors and gunwales. No more chalk!!!!! I'm also painting the 'ole Merc this year too. I'm getting it blacked out and shined up. Should look pretty sweet.
