Blue I burn 45-50 gallons doing that trip. A little too close for comfort. According to GPS the last trip we were 55 miles from the inlet. But with a west wind calm seas you can almost run as fast as you want.

We are thinking about going again in 2 weeks....question is which inlet will the fish be closest to.
I have a 60 gal tk (I/O) My tli isn't working in the tank but today I pulled it to get a new one and when I measured, I had 7" of fuel left in the tank. I was going to look for a thread on here (I think I saw one once that someone had put the tank dimensions) and do the formula that should tell me how much fuel I had left but I'm guessing I had less than 1/4 of a tank left.

I did find out that it is only 29 miles from Rudee to Corolla light and it's 48 miles from oregon inlet. I estimate we trolled about 25-30 miles in a circle. We stayed in the same area all day.

Let me know when you are going again and I'll plan to go also and we can meet up and fish together.

I'll also keep a ear out where the fish are so you which inlet to go out from.

I'm going again Wednesday.

I took them on my cell phone an I guess I'm not smart enough to figure out to down load them, but I'll keep trying.

They weighted in at 43lbs, 38lbs, and 22lbs.

I caught them on a brown, and a yellow and green striped sea tiger made by Wordens.

I found that if you put them on a light rod and put them shallow behind the boat in the prop wash the rod will bounce and it seems this creates extra action that they can't resist. Since I started doing this I have caught the 28 fish in this same configuration while my other poles have only caught 9 fish.

Yea thats one of them, I really like and have good luck with the brown top one.

The winds gonna blow tomorrow (Wednesday) so I think I'll hold off and go Friday.

I talked to 2 buddy's today and they went different ways Sunday, 1 went to Cape Henry and the 4A and caught nice fish, the other went to Sandbridge and caught fish and I went to Corolla so it appears the fish are still close going out of Rudee.

Keep me posted when u are going.
