Hey Havis!! Welcome aboard!!
The Ebay link is dead now and I'm dying to see pics of this deamon V-Step20. Can you get them posted here or in a gallery?

And people look at me like I'm crazy for wanting to put a V8/350 back into my boat... to try to get around 55MPH. But I have to admit I was looking at single/twin brackets from Stainless Marine. hmmmm.

A real rocket but I would be real concerned if this boat is legal. Its got to be over the authorized hp limit. Also look at the data plate. Around 920 lbs is the max engine weight permitted. Can't imagine how an insurance underwriter would look at this. But sure would be fun to run

Yes, I've wondered all that. The data tag is there but completely unreadable. 920# sounds like a lot! I have just under 800# in engines and then the jackplates, so I'm close to that number. As for HP, the data I've found (in the Gallery brochures) is she could be had with twin 115's, but didn't see any photo's of it. I'd bet my next paycheck I'm over the original hp rating on the transom, but I have no idea what that is. The transom has been rebuilt & trussed and Texas has a method by whick I could have an officer of the Texas Parks & Wildlife Dept. come by and sign off on it, (then it would be titled as a home-built boat) but I think why stir up anything? Enough rambling....

Does anyone had a picture of the data tag off of a '73 cuddy?

Havis
