Take a road trip and slap your motor on this one. I know you like those Aquasports! And while your down there we both know where there is a t-top with 4 rod holders in great condition for 500.00?

i used to work at a Sea Ray dealer and I really liked the Laguna's. Well built, solid ride, great fishing platform. Down side is most searay customers pay way too much for their boats because it says searay on the side, theyare allmost as bad as Whaler customers. Watch the prices and you might find a deal on one. Be carefull when comparing the Laguanas, they did some weird things with the lengths, the earlier 17s were bigger than the later 18's and the earlier 20's were bigger than the later 21's. And in case you wondered, the white SR motors are just mercurys.
Check this site time to time, there are some deals to be found on here every once in a while

Tempting buddy, I know that trip well, but I'd have to also find a trailer :-(

Skools,

Thinner hull than a V? How does it compare to the V in handling rough water?

Thanks for all the responses guys; very helpful and much appreciated.

I've been in a 250 SEARAY in a mild chop. It involved a trip to the chiropractor afterwards. The SEARAY I re-did last year was the same hull as SKOOLS's 250, not a soft riding boat IMHO. This one here is a little bit more money and a bit far away, but right up your alley. If he'd come down on his price to say $5K I'd be all over it.
