if you use a thru hull, make sure you install a seacock(ball valve) in case something breaks, you can turn it off

Ok I use to do the live well much like phatdaddy, But we had a guy making us a pipe for a rule 500 or 800 that looked like this worked great, I use to have like 10 of these but gave them away as I no use any more.
My last one ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now as for the wash down and possible bilge pump I am thinking of these, I have 2. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see it says self priming to 3 feet, I was thinking of using as bilge cause I have 0 room in the bilge for a pump, what you think?? Then the other will be a wash down, but not sure I want to add a raw water or get a fresh water tank and go that way? Maybe both and put a switch so I can use both on one pump?? What you think??

i dont think you'l get much pressure from that pump, it uses a rubber impeller, and is designed to move a volume of water at moderate pressure, usually you have to go to a diaphram pump berfore you get one that makes pressure, i may be wrong, try it out with a garden hose and sprayer before you install it

Do you know the GPM rating on the pump and does it have plenty of preasure. Thats what I'm concerned with as it seems the ones I have used on friends boats is that they are very weak.

His says 9 on the box....my washdown (and most others) is right at 4. Thats why I am thinking it would be plenty powerfull enough.

I was trying to get the specs in the close-up pic but I'll have to get that for you since its blurry.
It has awesome pressure. Maybe just a tick off from a water hose at the house. Works really really good. I'll report back asap but going out of town this weekend so I don't know when.

SR I would say 3.4 GPM since mine is a pro blaster. There is an extreme pro blaster which is 5.5 GPM.
I found a pro blaster like mine on eBay but its just the pump: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHURF...spagenameZWD1V Oh wait, here is a complete washdown system and its cheaper than the pump alone!: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SHURF...spagenameZWDVW Hope this helps. I think around $130 is about what price you'd pay at West Marine if my memory serves me correctly. Blue
