I had no idea what I was going to buy when I started looking at Boats, I know I wanted a Boat for cruising, fishing, salt water, fresh water, well reviewed and recommend by owners and something I can work on and enjoy without breaking the bank.
I started looking surfing and stumble upon this site.
Found the blogs on the restoration and worked done all of which was amazing to say the lease, and above all the design together with its FLAIR and contours of the V to this day I still have a beer in my hand and cigar on moonlight night and stare at my V in the driveway, I must say a strange phenomenon happened I brought the V home and my wife of twenty one years left three months later. Jealousy I guess ?
Also meeting the Guys on here is priceless :)
Good luck..Make it a V its for Victory

One of reasons is this one on the photo, look at the lines on the bow, this hull is simply beautiful. I get compliments at the boat gatherings because of the "working" type boat style and the looks of the hull. This V20 is simply a small boat which inspires confidence even offshore. One thing I wish it had is more transom space for a dual small motor install, which will make it a safer boat when going out there to The Deep Blue.
On the photo my girlfriend, my niece and my son Jorge at Palominito Island.
CONGRATS AND WELCOME COMRADE !!!

I agree with everything said. I live in Seattle and these boats really are rare out here. Every time I take mine out I get compliments.

Ha , Ha, I find myself gazing upon mine too. I can't help but to follow those lucious lines and flair..and think about the seas that were split wide open during previous trips. And the sheen of fresh rubbing coumpound and wax in the mid- August moonlight as it dances off of her...as we stand transfixed in her presence.

Default Why are the V 20's such a collectors boat?

In my opinion, aside from classic lines, the boat has an incredibly versatile design. Excellent for cruising, fishing, skiing, or anything else. Not too large, not too small. Great handling in all conditions. Comfortable shelter from bad weather for both the operator and passengers, a very important attribute that's missing on many center consoles, even larger ones. Plenty of storage. Highly customizable. Extremely solid construction (at least in my boat's vintage). Unique and very useful sliding cover access to the bow.

I considered many boats before I saw the V-20 that I subsequently purchased and restored. It was love at first sight. For my purposes it's the perfect boat.
