Parrot Head, that thing is a hoss. Not a bad way to close out the season.

We got 5 gags today nothing close to that size though.

I agree gag is definitely one of the best eating fish there is in the gulf.

Nice job guys, I unfortunately got skunked on the grouper yesterday. Caught a bunch, but no keepers. Only managed to get out to 50 feet due to the weather. It was so rough that I was the ONLY boat at any of the ramps I went by. Not to mention the tide was so low I barely got out. Down here they say the gags moved out to 80+ feet of water, and there was no way I was going out that far in those seas yesterday. I plan on hitting em hard come APRIL though when I have a working LORAN again.

I was going straight into true 3-5's on the way out. The pisser of it was that there was big swells out there with the waves rolling over the swells. And the tide was ripping the other way. It made for a horrible ride out. I only seen 1 other boat out there past 2 miles. The first ramp I stopped at had NOBODY at it, then I looked and seen how low the water was. Went up the way to the next ramp and there was only 4 trailers in the parking lot there. I had a wreck in 70 feet I wanted to hit, but I wasn't going out another 18 miles in that weather.
