Default Stinkys V18 repairs....

Well guys I have been working my butt of lately on the 18. I am going to post some pics later this weekend when i finish things up, but I wanted to go ahead and list some on the things Ive done while I can remember them. ::)

-Lots of Misc. wiring repairs

-new steering cable

-I glassed some plywood down in the front storage area over the foam between the stringers. This helped seal out water and gave me a better place to store stuff.

-I painted the front area with urethane

-all new anchor rope and chain

-I went to my buddys last night and we built an anchor roller out of aluminum plate. Its NICE! I am going to put a roller on it and itll be good to go (pics later)-. I am putting in a bow anchor rope storage box with hawse and a lock too...now it will all stay put!!

-I built a recessed tackle box thats in the front of the console. I am also organizing all my tackle into rubbermaid totes so it can stay on the boat at all times. Iit even has a light! 8)

-I installed speakers and a cd player

-I pulled all the old aireator hoses out of the hull and replaced leaky brass cutoff valve for the intake in the bilge ( I was wondering why my bilge pump ran so much... :o)

-I fiberglassed a few busted up areas on *rod boxes

ill take pictures later tonight or this weekend.....I am sure more will come to me as well. ;D

Here we go...a few pics

Here is my leader spool holder. I made it out of starboard and a piece of 1/2" pvc. o its not glued on...just slipped in. ;)

I made two of these rod holders for the front. Starboard and pvc. I routed all starboard edges and even the entry to the top of the pvc.

Here is my anchor hawse for the rope to run into the anchor hatch. I havent put the lock on yet...its next.

Here is the roller a buddy and I built. I also put on all new chain, anchor and rope.

Here is my tacklebox inspired by MJ. It was a severe waste of space. It was an open hole that use to be covered by a fabric cover originally, which was of course long gone. It holds four drawers and a bottom starboard drawer with all my heavy weights in it. I even put a push button light in it.

I havent finished putting together my other trays yet so its a little bare. *::)

Here are the new speakers powered by a Pioneer cd player.

I had most of this stuff waiting around for my V20, but since I decided to scrap that project I put it all in the 18 instead. 8)

I even done a few shed improvments. I ran water overhead so I dont have to drag a hose on the sides of the boat for cleanup.

Righook is at the ready at all times too. ;D

I also put in an overhead shelf for my cleaning stuff. Now I dont have to get down at all to clean up the boat. Its at about eyelevel from the deck.

Thanks guys!! I have a couple other repairs...I will post pics later. I am going to get the steering cable on saturday (have to pull motor).

On the headlights....I hated em at first...previous owner put em on there. I thought they looked dumb and reneck. Then I used em to run offshore at night and wow I love em. 8)

I also realized I am just a dumb redneck anyways. ;D

LOOKIN REAL GOOD MAN!! I WANT AN 18 CC!! 8)

When I build my shed, the water hose is DEFINITELY goin overhead. A drain will be in the floor (concrete floor) and of course, a shelf will be built for cleaning supplies - I LOVE YOU MAN!! :-* :-* :-*

Also, I've never seen a leader dispenser before, but that is an awesome idea too! ;)

The tackle storage on the front is off the chain too!! :o

Love it! What's next? ???
