Should I point out that there does NOT have to be a successful coup in order for there to be a chargeable crime?

My obvious point being that no charge means there was NO attempt, because you know that if they thought, for even a second, that they could make a charge of insurrection they would have, just to make an example.

So maybe you should stop calling it an insurrection attempt and call it what it really was... a very mild disturbance by an unruly mob.

20,000+ people there, less than 600 arrested. By any stretch of the imagination that's still a relatively small group.. Less than 4%.

It is a shame that anyone was injured. It's even more of a shame that one person was murdered by a capital police thug. And NONE of that has anything to do with charges of insurrection NOT being levied against all those arrested.
