MJ, we'll just be cutting a slot (rectangular hole) out near the end then inserting one of these for the anchor to roll up to. This way the shank of the anchor comes up through the middle and your anchor rode can't flip out of the guides.

Probably need the medium size

The Bow roller on my boat is from Good automatic windlass in Barnegat, NJ.. Its actually the roller assembly that went with the windlass that used to be on the boat. The hole for the windlass is covered by the alum plate that you see.

Inside the cabin, the bolts are backed up by large stainless washers. The deck is a little soft as the cutout for the windlass was leaking. I 4200'd the hole, the exposed plywood and the area around it and re bolted the pulpit back down.

I need to through bolt the cleat, which is held to the pulpit by wood screws. I also need to get one of those anchor chain tensioners to "ratchet" tight the chain. As you can see there is a steel hook that is on there now which has got to go. Those tensioners are $45.00 and I am getting cheaper as time goes on, so I havent gotten it yet..

MJ and CB - I dont know if the Starboard wont flex if your are going to cut the slot in it ??

Nah, won't flex that much. It'll actually flex more with the pivot point out on the end like that. I helped someone make one before using the double layer Satrboard like MJ wants to do. Came out pretty nice. We're going to do it. MJ had to order the Windline roller. ;)
