That was the 39 MIDNIGHT EXPRESS at the MIAMI boat show. That hull needs that much HP, and with everybody out there on the outboard craze they built it. 2 high performance diesels would have been a much better match, but some people only want outboards now.

theres the infamous 350 verado again, been seen in pictures and online, no one actually having the chance to run one, kinda like a sasquach sighting. the performance numbers mirror the 300 verado, stickers are cheaper than production. It took Mercruiser 4 years after the introduction of the Zeus system for one to actually be sold as a production boat owned by a regualr customer. Based on Mercury's own information, the 350 verado is making more than 2 hp per cu inch, can you say " grenade"? As far as outboards on a boat that size, I'd rather have IPS like SeeVee is offering on their 42
