Transom question

For those who have a bracket, can you tell me what the inside of your transom looks like? Specifically, is there a hole in the transom from which you can look into the inside of the bracket, or...

Re: Looking for plenty of seats

Does the boat have a full transom? Mine boat does and it came with a full rear seat that spans the entire transom. It fastens to the deck with four pins. It wouldn't work with a notched transom....

Re: Tilt/Trim/ opinions wanted...

Havis, I think you answered your own question. Lots of weight back there...

....and, the V-20 is rated for 7 people. That's the kind of stuff the Coast Guard auxillary lives for up here.

Re: CT dreaming...

You've got that right Jester. I don't think anybody spending $200 large on a boat is too worried about gas prices or maintenence cost of THREE :o outboards!

Re: BRACKET OWNERS

That is odd fillet because you've got a big enough shaft for sure. *??? Can a jack plate be used on a bracket?

Re: Another v-20 ?

The V-20's biggest advantage over the Chris Craft in my opinion is the sliding hatch cover over the cuddy. It makes the cuddy so much more useable. Not to mention the Chris Craft brown is pretty ugly.

Re: BRACKET OWNERS

Fillet, what length is your shaft? With my Sea Drive, which was an XXL shaft (25") I had no cavitation and it was effectively a 115 like yours so the weights should be the same. The new motor I...

Re: fish / depth finder suggestions

Rick, what CB and RAP said. I have a Hummingbird too and I had to lower my transducer this spring as I was getting whacky readings. It should be at least 1/4" below the plane of the hull according to...

Re: E-Tec 200...423lbs...

If anyone really has an interest, you can go to thehulltruth and view EXHAUSTIVE debate on the E-tec vs. 4-stroke drama. The consensus seems to be that the e-tec out paces the 4 strokes and gets...

Re: 1980 Welcraft Retail Price List

It's 60 gallons MJ and it's located between the helm seat and the port side lounge. Never seen it though, I'm scared to look down there what with all the foam issues raised on this page ;).

I'm...

Re: 1980 Welcraft Retail Price List

MJ, I've got a floor tank and two in deck fish boxes. So does fillet from what I remember of his pics. One tank is cheaper than three and less to break too.

Brian, at some point this summer you can come down and I'll take you out on mine. Maybe it will give you ideas on what not to do with your restoration.

Re: Closest Awlgrip color match?

I can't give you exact Awlgrip color for your '76, but I selected "whisper gray" from awlgrip for my new bracket from Armstrong for an '86 hull. I haven't seen it yet *>:(, but it will be here next...
