Re: trailer bearings / tires
I bought my bearing buddys from MJ a few years back. When you add grease to a bearing buddy, only grease till you see the plunger move. If you overgrease, you'll blow out the rear seal.

Re: Who lives near Flounder Pounder?
Get physical dimensions on the tank and have a private carrier pick it up. *The $100.00 cost may be due to the physical size of the tank, not the handeling fees, and you may not have any choice....

Re: muriatic acid flush
I had a dealer flush my cooling passages out on an old Evinrude and they did a great job. I'd check with a local repair facility and see what they pump through their motors. Rydlyme is designed to...

Re: The Storm!
Push your employer for their insurance to cover and if you have to, ask them to pay your deductable. That stinks.

Re: Mercury info needed
If you premix your Merc, you'll be cleaning your plugs on a regular basis. They'll foul if you troll alot. I've replaced one sensor on one Merc. My last four motors were Mercs in the 150-225 hp range...

Re: Mercury info needed
Had a 96 225 carburated. The 3.0 liter is a good, strong engine. Never any problems in 800 hrs. Sold the boat three years ago and the motor is still running great.

Re: soda blasting
Did you buy braided line for a rub rail? You must've had alot of money left over from your ETEC purchase. I used black nylon. I feel cheap. ;)

Re: Progress so far and a queston
No vents required as the engine is not in the bilge. It's an outboard installation. Right now, it's vented as much as my 86 V20 outboard.
