Default muriatic acid flush

I read through my endless internet searching about a guy that used muriatic to flush his outboard engine's cooling system and it fixed a lot of his cooling problems and really removed a lot of buildup.

But of course they did'nt say how he did it and I can't find the writeup anymore. I think I remeber it being pour in the thermostat holes.

I use Muratic acid in my pool sometimes so I know that it is not extremely bad since it does damage my pool pump or liner.

Is it okay for a outboard engine will just pouring it down the thermostat opening damage anything.

Anyone ever used it?

thanks
