Stopping water
My 1989 V 20 would get water into tank from the tank air vent mounted on hull.Simple to fix was placing a stainless air scup crowl over the vent to block the water n spray from going up into vent...

Now since i have found a trailer for the V20 and no longer have to pay boatlift rent I can wait if needed to sell her for a very fair price....I suzuki DF150 is a great motor and I am sure the right...

Once i place the suzuki on the V 20 I will drop the price and sell it cheaper then my asjing price....BTW
The deck and transom was professional redone in Oct 2012 so no soft spots issues with this...

I agree there are plenty of V 20 for sale with old 2 stroke gas gulping ,smokey outboards.
Not any for sale with a like new 4 stroke engine still under warranty with everything new...

This are older Wellcraft hulls and seem to be heavier then today's fiberglass hulls . Keep that in mind as well

I feel a 90 especially if 4 stroke will be too small. I am using a 2013 Mercury 150hp 4 stroke and very happy. Trim tabs improved handing of the extra weight of 4 stroke as well . I guy in my marina...

I have a converted 1986 Wellcraft V 20 with a 2013 Mercury 150hp 4 stroke . I am using a Mirage Plus 17 Stainless
3500= 21kn
4000 = 25 kn
5000 = 32kn
I think your engine should top out at...
