Default 6/28 Bass..... again

Every time before you go out, you have a plan in your head, that never seems to work out.... but today it did. I wanted to fish live bait in the early AM, and then once the sun came up switch to chunks... The plan was to stay as far away from the crowds as possible. Well we picked up Pogies quick, but the honey hole wich only a few of us have been fishing had 3 boats on it @ 5am, and by the next time we went to reup on bait, was stacked with atleast 15 boats.. some one ran there mouth
So we resorted to early season spot I was not sure of because it was only about 10ft deep and the water was already over 70. We slammed fish on live bait for two runs and on the third, we decide to drift in further, fishing about 5 feet of water... Now, we were doing everything you were not supposed to do.. fishing in 5 feet of water and about 15 feet from sure @ 9AM, fishing water into the 70's, NOT FOLLOWING THE CROWDS!!! Once we ran out of live pogies we anchored up and chunked for another few hours with over 25 fish from 10 to 25lbs.. No giants, but a blast of constant fishing...
Now the bad, I ended up nailing a rock on the way out with the new motor..... Brase your self, this is bad..............

Not that bad @ all, My heart did not beat from when I hit the rock, until the engine was out of the water and the damage were assesed...
By buddy with a fish on..

The fish

and a few of his buddies we had over for dinner...

and my baby home safe

Nice report Sean, that was quite a day of fishing!!

Glad to see your "breaking in" of the new motor didn't tear it up too bad.
