Default Two problems please help!!!!

My first problem is if my boat sits up a few weeks or so when I go to crank it, it seems like pressure in the oil line is forcing too much oil into the motor and it smokes like crazy. Sometimes it cuts off it smokes so bad and I am scared it will screw the motor up. Will this hurt the motor or just foul the plugs over time? Could this be a VRO malfunction?

The second thing is my throttle cables are getting stiff and hard to use so failure in the near future is imanent. I have replaced them on several other flat bottom boats but never on my V. Other than the old string line trick are their any other pro tips from you V experts? What size cables would I need for a 1994 Center Console V-20?

Thanks a bunch in advance for any help you guys can give!!!
