so technically speaking, those brackets should slide right out.

anybody recognize them?

yeah they should but they dont,,,,I'll check to sea if there is any logo or info hiding on the underside,,,,maybe if the bolts are loosened the step will slide out

If you look at you pics on the bottom of each bracket there is a little stub sticking down. Is that a catch and maybe if you push or pull it out it unlocks the step.
