Do you know what will. Reason is that theres a soft under the captains chair. So Me my Dad and his boss were brain storming after work today and came up with cutting a piece of starboard router the edge and put it above the soft spot screw it and use something to seal it, also will be putting under the passengers seat to look uniform.

Well, the 5200 would seal it just fine. You just can't use it to bond two surfaces together permanantly. According to their website, Starboard is not a good choice for structural repairs and construction. There are members here that have used it for gas tank covers and fishwell covers without any problems though. Can't say for sure about what the long term durability would be. I guess you're going to draw your own conclusion and go with what you think might be best for you.

Most likely it would not be permanent, just don't feel like pulling the deck up yet, just want to get her in the water first, maybe next winter on the floor.

Best is to screw in place and seal with 5200 or what have you. I have used it for, cutting boards, fish box cover, dash, doors, bulk heads, walls, anchor pulpit, and a built in tackle box. All screwed toghter and strong as heck!! For a floor 3/4 is the best but you going to pay a pretty penny for it! I bought full sheets of 3/8 and 3/4 for my V . And I will be buying 2 more sheets of the same for the new boat in the next few weeks!!

If you are screwing the starboard down, then just use clear silicone to seal around it.
I hate 5200, it take 2 weeks for it to dry.
