If you spent any amount of time on the old board, you would have seen many problems!! And many more behind the seens!

Gallery alo had some issues, Gallery has also been updated and is already on the new server and is running like a clock!!

The board is also moving to the new server in a week or so, and thwen we will be done with all the hard stuff! We will the start coustomizing this site.

I am sorry that you don't see the any improvements, but as you get use to the new board I am sure it will grow on you!

Yeah . . . I like simplicity of Yabb too, but the board we were using was broke and there was a Lazy site admin (me) who didn't do crap except pay the $6.95/month. Everyday at 7 - 8am EST (4am - 5am PST) omnis (our west coast web hosting service) started running processes that crippled the performance of the board. You're much better off now with Vbulletin, the latest version of Gallery, and some caring administrators who are now hosting this site on their own server.

Thumbs up Board

I never had any real issues with the old board but do like the new one also. We'll grow use to it and have that comfy warm feeling again. Nice work MJ and your partner. Billy Mac

Ditto the last search was about useless, this one is what a search is supposed to be.

I like the new board...except for two things..I put a signature pic on the old one and on THT, but for the life of me, I can't get one on this one...and I can't do the smilies following the text anymore...it just ain't the same...other than that, the new board's fine...

Reel, go to the CP, scroll to the bottom, and change the editor from basic to advanced...then you'll have smilies again:sod:

Reel try this for the signatures.
This is how I remember doing it.
See if this is any different from the instructions to add signature pictures.
I think this is what I did.
The last time I added the signature picture, it accepted it without resizing.
(by the way go ahead and click "refresh" on your computer for the meanness of it)
click “User CP”
click “Edit Signature”
click and backspace to erase anything in “Preview” and “Edit Signature”
in Signature Picture click “Delete Current Image”, click and backspace to erase anything in “Option 1” and “Option 2”.
Click “Save Signature”
Return to and click “User CP”
click “Edit Signature”
in “Signature Picture” click “Browse” to install picture from computer and install in “Option 2”
In “Option 1” click and backspace to erase anything there
Click “Preview Signature”
See if “Insert Signature Picture” comes up (above “Delete Current Image”), if so click it (if not, picture size requirements will come up and resizing is necessary)
Click “Save Signature”
Your next post should reflect the signature photo.

For the smileys:
There are some smilies available right now, but you have to turn on the window yourself:

Go to user CP -> Edit Options ->

Scroll all the way to the bottom and change Message Editor Interface type to "Enhanced Interface - Full WYSIWYG Editing."

Click "Save Changes"

The next time you respond to a thread or start a new thread, you should see the smiles table to the right of the message composition box. :D
