Default V-20 Fuel Tanks

I have seen a lot of posts about the need to replace fuel tanks on V's. Mine is a 1991 Cuddy. Is there any way to tell if the tank is going bad other than detecting gas in the bilge? Should I expect the tank to go sometime soon?

Your 91 should have a poly tank in it, and they do not like ETHANOL. It's an unfortunate thing to deal with, but watch for gas in the bilge.

Nipper...you could go on forever and not have a problem...but like Ferm said keep an eye open for gas in the bilge and if your NOSE detects ongoing gasoline odors, don't ignore it...till then just have fun and enjoy yer V!!...
