Default Out with the old in with the New!!

After they stole all my stuff I was able to get my wife feeling bad and she got me a ton of new stuff!!

Just finished installing all the new stuff and I am ready for fish!!

I had to Make and rewire the whole dash and then install a new rear light, fish finder, GPS chart plotter. The old dash was OMC and just had to go!! Something I had been putting off till now.

It sucked having to do it all durning the season but hey the weather hasn't been the best eaither.

Now what to do with the old stuff that got returned??

OLD & NEW

New Stuff

Yes from maine to block island!

Works awsome!! I am still getting use to it and there are a few things I have to learn, but so far its great!

I have marked all kinds of spots out of Chatam already and i can't wait till i get to the Vinyard to markl all my numbers out there.

Now all i have to do is get this guy hat moved to Cal. last fall to send me them Cod numbers and I will be on a roll!! ;D

I just sold my old fish finder to a guy I no. So i got the money for my new fish finder back and then some!!

The new Garmin 160 fish finder is the first finder that I have had that shows fish and you catch them!! I have had 4 or 5 different ones and always just did not do the job right?? I was thinking the transduser was in the wrong place but this one is in the same place and it works great!
I hate to say it but the best thing that could have happened to me was to get my stuff stolen!! Cause I went and got all new stuff and it all works great!! All i need is a new radio as my just craped out.

New Radio,, I just got the Icom for $159 with rebate at West Marine. You hook it right up to your GPS ( two wires ) and if the $&^% ever hits the fan you press the "distress" button and it transmits your exact location to surrounding vessels and the CG !!! Its the DSC version, I recommend it

MJ,,

Here is the link, note the DSC capabilities. With your Garmin hooked up it will send and receive distress coordinates, the Garmin will actually pop up a window reading " you have received a DSC distress signal, do you want to enter it as a waypoint ? "
