Manual Wiper

My boat has a manual wiper on the driver's side that doesn't have a blade.

Should I take the thing off or get a new wiper blade for it? Are they worth the effort? Where could I even get a blade to fit it?

I would not even bother!!

What I do every year that works for me is put about 10 coats of RainX Keeps things pretty clean!!

And think about it for a second, If you are in water splashing the windshield, do you want to take your had off the wheel for a second to wpie the windshield??

I'm goin' w/MJ on controlin' the boat and wipin' the wipe...only manual wipe I want around comes off a roll just starboard of the Thunder Mug... ;) ;D

MJ, second the Rain X works great, just don't use on your auto, glare from oncoming headlights especialliy if its raining. Crusher

BR, I have a camper top on my boat, not a bimini, and my electric wiper is the only way I can see when I'm out in the rain. I have not tried rainex, but I don't need to with the wiper! I wouldn't be too quick to dump the manual wiper. Try the rainex and see what you think.

CT, I know what you mean. My top snaps on the windshield and doesn't have a vinyl windshield that extends above the glass windshield.

I think its a safe bet to go ahead and remove the manual wiper for 2 reasons - don't know where to find a blade and don't want to have to operate it manually.

I guess if the rain-x fails, I'm gonna have to look at getting an electric wiper!
