Which one are we speaking about? The one on the motor or the one going thur the back at the out drive??

The one on the motor is a pain but you should be able to get it on with out to much trouble.

Now the one on the outdrive is a royal pain in thwe a$$!! And I wish you lots of luck!!

Well the thing to do is get it on one end tight!! Then you will have to streash it!! It will most likly be the right one but you will have to work hard !! I had mine done after having the same problem as you!
I had a guy tell me he heated his wiht a blow dryer to get it not so stiff and that helped him??

But I have no time for that so I had it done!

Good luck

O.K. Guys this was not a hard fix at all. There is a new style exhaust bellow that connects to the transom side only and cups the lower unit side making a tight fit when drive is lowered, helping out with exhuast back pressure as well. Serria part about $31.00 beats paying a marina $90. an hour. 8)
