Default Deck/floor Paint

With everyone sending in pictures, I seem to be the only guy with a scratched, skuffed up and peeling floor on this site.
Is this paint simply applied by paint roller after a good sand job. Any cheaper then the hull paint I priced at $200.00 a gallon. I hope so !! : )
Mike.

i used epoxy garage coat finish from lowes in light gray. it was under $20 a gallon. didn't use but 2/3 of a gallon and i rolled it on. Here's the boat floor it's in and now 3 yrs later no one scratch and the best part that paint is gas and oil resistant.

Yo School,
Great thinking on the paint idea. Figure garge paint would only be good on concrete. But hell if it works and mucher cheaper, I can do that !! : )
Thanks.
Off on a lead for a used hatch cover. : )

MJ like the looks of that stuff, how can you spray it on like they say with the rubber granules in it, or do you sprinkle ithem on after or something

Macojoe,
I checked out the stuff you put on your floor. Super great stuff. There is a local guy that can spray it on, but wants 400.00 to do the job. To much for me. I'll do it myself. Again, you just sanded and hand rolled it ??
No primer needed ???
Also, I noticed how thick it was, did you have any problems installing your deck covers back in place because of the thickness ???
Mike.

Did this fill in all cracks? Also after use did the stress cracks reappear?

Hammer, MJ cut his deck-lids outta Starboard like I did, so any snug fits are taken care of w/the saw-blade ;)...''Little trim, please...'' ;D ;D...

Just before applying the floor paint, fill the bad stress cracks with 5200. I haven't done it, but it seems like it might hold up??

I filled all screw holes with bondo and in the cracks between the floor tanks I used marine tex, sanded good and cleaned the deck with Xylene, then rolled it on.
I did not paint the inside lip of the boxes so that the covers fit just fine.
I saw that you could spray it, but I not set up for that and besides it takes like 15 min to paint the deck, and after 1 hour do it again. the next day you good to go!!

Before this I was going to have the deck done with LineX That would fill all cracks and be waterproof and slip proof, Butthey wanted $800 for the deal and there was no way I could afford that!!

But if you know any one in the bissness that would bethe way to go, and never worry about it again.
